El Rancho

  

El Rancho is one of the reasons I wanted to start LOCOROPO to support home grown awesome restaurants and the people who work in them. I remember my first time going to El Rancho as a Freshman at SSU and falling in love with their shredded chicken burrito which has all the ingredients mixed in perfectly. There is an SSU vibe there – there are always students walking in and out, chatting with the staff and it has an all round fun atmosphere. You can also tell this is a family business. The main manager’s wife will be working the front counter or his son will be helping around the place. When you are in El Rancho you feel like you are family. Besides having above average Mexican food, they have special vegan and vegetarian menus. If you are not a vegan or vegetarian I would suggest getting one of their $2 tacos.

The meat at El Rancho is always fresh and cooked to perfection. Personally I love anything with their cheese, they use a very sharp mozzarella type cheese which really adds flavor to all of their dishes. They have a great California burrito and their service is fast and friendly. Love this place!
