K&L Bistro
K&L Bistro is French style dinning experience that serves amazing food – going there is a mouth watering experience. While the atmosphere is relaxed, the food is more 5 star casual. The happy hour / brunch is to die for with $5 cocktails and a $1.50 oyster bar. You have to try everything here – you will not be disappointed.
I really enjoy sitting in the bar area. It is ‘first come first served’ and it has a relaxing vibe to it. The service is amazing, super fast but also extremely friendly. In short it is a perfect place for a date night. They also have a section of the menu they call the Grub menu which includes options like my favorite – their $4 tacos.
Late Night Happy Hour Review
Last Monday after finishing my final a friend and I decided to go get a drink at the late night happy hour offered at K&L to celebrate our end of the semester. We drove out to Sebastopol excited for the $1.50 oysters and cheap grub. When we walked in we were surprised to find a full bar, we had to wait a little for an open bar stool. The servers were quite busy and it took awhile to order a drink. I decided to get their whiskey sour and and their taco of the day. We were surprised that oysters were not offered during late night happy hour. The taco of the day was a spicy shrimp taco and it was amazing, just enough kick. The whiskey sour was strong and had a very favorable kind of whiskey. My friend ordered her next drink, but it never came. When we asked about it the waitress swore that we never ordered it and the bar and kitchen was closed. It was around 10:15 at this time, and it is supposed to stay open till 11. We were both surprised as we finished off our drinks and paid the check because the waitresses were seeming to get antsy because we were staying so long. The food was good but the service was not. I probable will not make the 20 minute drive again for a happy hour that only lasts 45 minutes because the servers want to go home.
